The days are starting to warm up, a sign that spring is just around the corner. I’ve spent many afternoons looking out the window at the future home of my garden buried under the snow. I took this picture on Sunday afternoon. Mid March and we still have over a foot of snow in most of the yard! As soon as it all melts, we will frame the raised beds.
The boys have been helping me pick out seeds and plan a layout. I will be merging my two favorite garden systems, square foot gardening and companion planting, to grow as much as possible in my raised beds. This will be my first garden in Central New York and I’m likely to make a few mistakes.
